Our vision reflects our overarching aims, ethos and values which we use to inspire future progress and developments. We continue to explore opportunities that enrich the lives of our children and their families, embedding inclusive learning, innovative use of technology and a learning environment that supports both the school and the wider community. We aspire for Landywood Primary School to be a centre of excellence, where there is:
An inspiring environment for all
- Where our many varied resources are used to maximum capacity, practically and creatively, including Forest School, to support learning and engagement.
- Where everyone is well organised and known for effective communication, where success is celebrated and everyone takes pride in all they do.
- Where everyone is empowered to achieve, no matter what their starting point.
- Where outdoor learning is integrated into the curriculum to maximise learning and retention.
Confident and engaged pupils
- Children are challenged to strive for academic, creative, sporting and personal accomplishment within a broad, vibrant and enriched curriculum and given time to explore subjects and deepen/widen their understanding. Children celebrate perseverance, resilience and risk taking, welcome challenge and are not frightened to make mistakes, solve problems or ask questions.
- The highest expectations of achievement and behaviour is balanced with care and consideration for pupil’s health, mental health and wellbeing, ensuring that everyone meets their full potential.
- Encourage children to thrive within their learning and prepare for their future in Modern Britain, achieving high standards in all areas of the curriculum.
- A focus on developing future passions and talents, by promoting our positive “can do” attitude, believing that our children will leave our school empowered to participate successfully, at an academic, social and emotional level in a rapidly changing world.
- Ensure all members of our school community have a strong sense of a pride and belonging
