Our vision statement reflects our overarching aims, ethos and values and we plan to use it to inspire further progress and developments.
We will continue to investigate opportunities for the future of our children and their families, considering inclusive learning for everyone, embedded technology and ICT and how our learning environment can support the community.
We aspire for Landywood Primary School to be a centre of excellence, where there is/are:

An inspiring environment for all,
⦁    where our many varied resources are used to maximum capacity, practically and creatively, including Forest School, to support learning and engagement.
⦁    that is well organised and known for its effective communication and where success is celebrated and people are proud to be associated with.
⦁    where people are empowered to achieve, no matter what their starting point is.
⦁    where staff integrate using the outdoor learning environments to maximise learning and retention

Confident and engaged pupils
⦁    children are challenged to strive for academic, creative, sporting and personal accomplishment within a broad, vibrant and enriched curriculum and given time to explore subjects and develop deep understanding.
⦁    children celebrate perseverance, resilience and risk taking, welcoming challenge and are not frightened to make mistakes, solve problems or ask questions.
⦁    where the highest expectations of achievement and behaviour is balanced with care and consideration for pupil’s health and wellbeing, ensuring that everyone meets their full potential.
⦁    a focus on developing future passions and talents, by promoting our positive “can do” attitude, believing that our pupils will leave our school empowered to participate successfully, at an academic, social and emotional level in a rapidly changing world.

Improvements in progress and attainment
⦁    to offer the highest quality educational experience, whilst delivering improvements in our data and results, continually looking to develop, getting better every day.
⦁    effective, timely assessment, with accessible feedback to pupils and parents on achievements and areas for development.
⦁    strategic interventions for pupils, that result in good progress being made, particularly with those who need any level of additional targeted support.

Staff stability and motivation, demonstrated by:
⦁    high quality teaching that underpins inspirational, supportive and effective teaching and learning and exemplifies best practice.
⦁    staff who are actively involved in identifying their support and training needs, leading to a professional, motivated, engaged and engaging workforce, with an effective work/life balance.
⦁    staff learning from colleagues and sharing best practice, which increases our knowledge base and contributes to teaching and learning that aspires to be outstanding.

A strong collaboration between the school, our parents and the local and wider community
⦁    by valuing every individual and committing to ensuring everyone feels listened to and
heard. We place the highest importance on our close working relationships with parents and other members of our community.
⦁    by striving to maintain a culture and environment which inspires each individual within our school community to be the very best that they can be, including the use of diverse role models.
⦁    by building relationships with local and global schools, employers and voluntary organisations.

It is our aim for all children to leave Landywood with the necessary skills to cope and succeed, in an increasingly, changing world.
