Remembrance Day

It all started with Reverend Marie delivering our special assembly. We were also lucky to have some veterans join us and inspire the young children during our special service. During the day, every child had the opportunity to make a poppy and place it at the front of the school to showcase that ‘WE WILL NOT FORGET’. Some children also visited Lake View nursing home and had the chance to give hand-made poppies to them and take some photographs outside their home. Their display was phenomenal. On Remembrance Sunday, children also got a chance to participate with the service and lay a special handmade wreath at the grounds along with others from the general public. The children at Landywood showed great respect and understanding of the events of the past.
